​Sandra is a painter who works from the wilder landscapes still to be found in parts of Britain.

She has spent time working in North Yorkshire, Northumberland, Shetland and most recently Cornwall where the area around St Just provides rich material based on the relics of the mining industry.

 

A Fine Art graduate , Sandra studied sculpture at Leeds and her textured surface show this influence. Her work is layered with collaged and distressed images ripped from previous pieces providing a palimsest of past endeavours where, as with experience , little  is wasted but feeds into current work .
